Delete a Windows file in Use

Hi Again,

Whenever you download a corrupt movie or a image file, the same cannot be deleted by the normal delete command. Do find a solution for the same.

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories and open a Command Prompt window and leave it open. 

Close all other open programs.

Now, go to Start > Run and enter TASKMGR.EXE. 

Click on the Processes tab and End Process on Explorer.exe. 

Leave Task Manager open.

Go back to the Command Prompt window. You should see this:

C:\Documents and Settings\YourName>

Now change the directory. After the > type: cd\

then enter.

The above step is meant to take you to the respective folder where the file is located.

You will now see C:\>

After the > type:

del c:\pwd001.jpg

then enter. Repeat for each file. 

When you have finished deleting the files, go back to Task Manager and click on File > New Task and enter EXPLORER.EXE to restart the GUI shell. Close Task Manager.

Post back if you have any problems or are not sure what to do.

Memory Stick Duo

The previous evening I faced a problem with the Memory stick duo card for a SONY digital camera stuck in my laptop - The SD slot.

Here enlisted is a small solution to remove the same without damaging the slot in laptop or the memory card.

A) Split a average sized business card into two.

B) Fold the first half and insert it into the SD slot of the laptop.

C) Keep pusing the business card into the slot, till it gives a snap sound. This sound happens either when the memory card gets fixed into the slot, here you can download the details just for backup sake.

D) If the card doesnt pop out keep pusing it down you will hear another snap and the card has pushed itself out till the level of laptop, now carefully tighten the grip on the business card and carefully pull the card out.

Patience and good light is the key to the aforementioned procedure. Also make sure that your laptop is switched off during the entire process, turning around the laptop and banging it from the other side wont work.

In this trick I will take an example of .co.cc domain.

# Register yourself by going to .co.cc domain registration page.

# Select your free domain name, I will suggest use the same domain name which you have on blogspot. Suppose if you have domain name as virgintech.blogspot.com then search for the availability of virgintech.co.cc.

# Activate your account and login to your .co.cc account and click on Set up>> manage domain Select “Zone record” and in the host column enter your .co.cc domain name : virgintech.co.cc
Now select “CNAME” for Type and enter “ghs.google.com” on the value field.

By now you have done setting up your co.cc domain and it’s time now to set up your blogspot blog for the same.

How to redirect your blogspot blog to custom domain?

Login to your blogspot account, undersettings>publishing, select “Switch to custom domain”

Now enter your co.cc domain name in the field and click on save.

It will take one to two days to take settings in effect.

As soon as your blog is redirected .co.cc domain , apply for adsense again.

Some time Google adsense reject the application, the key word is resubmit your application.

Even I got my adsense account approved after almost 7 resubmissions.

We know without GOOGLE there is nothing feasible on web, whether it is searching for your favorite album , browsing for help for your project, downloading any software and never ending list of search topics.So while Googling if you precise your search you can save a lot of time and time is the most valuable thing in this world. So I am gonna tell you guys how to do precise search in GOOGLE.

Click on advanced search options. Now you can see that there are a lot of configuring options available for reducing your results according to your preferences. For e.g. if you are searching for a pdf file select the pdf option from format list. Similarly you can play with other available options.

Second way is to use the google operators. Suppose you have to download the music file in the google search type in the following string

:intitle:"index of" (mp3) name of song -php -asp -aspx -html -htm -jsc.

The first operator searches for all available online content for with the title "index of" this will get all the pages with that title. These pages are mainly the in the root of a site in other words, most of the results will be the pages that show what files a server has stored. These could be pictures, movies sounds, etc. Now for narrowing the search down with the "(mp3)" to tell the search to only look for files with an extension of mp3. The next part is the most important as this is the name of the file that you want to download. because google is looking for a filename, it is very important that you keep all the words in order and not spelled incorrectly. Lastly just tell the search not to look for files of that file extension...you don't really want to download php or html files (They ain't music).

One more thing you can do is to use FTP in your search because there are tonnes of ftp servers present on the internet which contains a lot of usable stuffs, otherwise ain't accessible.

Certificate Attestation for Kuwait

Find attached Step by Step procedure for attestation of documents for Kuwait employment Visa.

Step-1: Get your convocation certificate/degree certificate/educational certificate,passport, ration card, and get minimum 4 photocopies of each of this documents, get it attested from your local councilor or any authorized persons(THIS ATTESTATION IS ALSO DONE NEAR THE GATE OF MUM UNIVERSITY)

Step-2: Mumbai university attestation

Go to Mumbai university--examination hall --block no 24 and submit your original document(convocation is sometimes laminated so back side plastic needs to removed in a square where stamping can be done carefully...it is done at zerox center opp to Mum Uni) along with one photocopy of the original degree certificate,and mark sheet , You will be asked to pay some amount of money for mumbai university attestation depending upon the year Rs500 -1500. It will take 10 to 15days to get attestation done, can also be earlier (depends) you may ask authorities there or come on 10th day itself.

Step-3: Get the documents, Rs25 Notary from any Lawyers(without this HRD and MEA attestation wont be proceeded)

Step-4: MEA and HRd, after completing the attestation from MUM Uni, You need to visit the opposite building of Mantralaya, on the 9th floor youu need get the docuements first signed and than visit 14th floor and submit the documents SUBMISSION TIMING 2:00 TO 4.30 PM MONDAY TO TUESDAY

Documents needed to be Pinned before submission

1) Orginial document

2) Photocopy of the original document 

3) Passport photocopy 

4) Rationcard photocopy and 

5) A form available on 14th floor office which needs to be filled and a passport size photograph attached.
